Some things didn't age as smoothly as they could've post COVID, but overall a solid, enjoyable book about the apocalypse!

My Father At 100
by Ron Reagan

I enjoyed reading about Ronald Reagan’s(“Dutch”) life from his second son’s perspective and research. President Reagan was a beloved and powerful leader. I didn’t know how athletic he was. A strong athlete ( football, swimming/lifeguard, horseback riding), college student leader. He was a SAG president, governor of California and of course President of the United States. The book carrie’s you from his birth (10 pounds!!) to his confrontation with Alzheimer’s disease and finally his death. What I didn’t like was that the author jumps Reagan’s life chapters. It is not fluid. And his sentences can be as long as a paragraph, again without being fluid.

The Perfect Marriage

This book is about a writer who cheats on his lawyer wife and pays the ultimate price. This book had my attention until the end where the plot twist was predictable and I was disappointed.

Maybe if it wasn’t hyped up so much, maybe if I could visualize, maybe if I was alloromantic, I would have enjoyed this more. Unfortunately, none of those are the case, so I didn’t.
