Adult Summer Reading
Welcome to 2023's Adult Summer Reading Program. If you participated last year, the format is the same. If this is your first time - Welcome!
Enjoy your reading even more this summer! Track books you read between June 26th and August 13th. Every week there will be a drawing for prizes for anyone that has logged reading.
Reading any book over 100 pages will give you 100 points and a chance to win a weekly prize and the grand prize. You can read books in any format, print, ebook or audio.
Magazines and newspapers are counted by how long you are reading. One hour gets you 50 points, two hours is 100.
Also picture books count at 1/4 so if you read 4 picture books to your kids, you get 100 points. There is a selection for picture books for logging.
With each badge you earn you get a raffle ticket to win a prize. The more tickets you have, the more chances you have of winning the weekly prize. If you reach 1000 points, you are entered to win grand prizes!
Due to our Children's Room renovation, there won't be too many programs for adults. However, we do still have two more Erie Canal Days - July 19th about baseball and the Erie Canal and August 17th - Diary of an Erie Canal Cook. Both are available either in person in our Computer Lab or on Zoom. They are also recorded to watch later. Check our calendar for more information.
We will also have an adults only Name that Tune evening when the library is closed! After an hour playing Name that Tune, we'll watch "Singing in the Rain". That will be on July 14th at 6:30PM.
If you have any questions, just contact me!
Again, welcome and keep reading!
